Elections day is finally here. After much anticipation, americans at last get to cast their vote and choose between the party of the donkey and the party of the elephant. But politics are not the only arena familiar with conflicts. Pop culture has long been literally the stage of star rivalries. And the fans are never late to pick a side. So join the debate of the right vs. wrong and good vs. bad in those top pop culture rivalries.

Taylor Swift vs. Kanye West

I am sure you are all familiar with the "Swift-West" incident from 2009. If not, where have you been? To recap, Kanye ran to the stage while Taylor was accepting an MTV Video Music Award and declared that Beyonce should have been the winner. Taylor, though shocked, remained very calm and poised. Jay-Z later tried to patch things up, but their relationship became a conversation topic again when Kanye released the song "Famous", where he made a nasty reference to Taylor and took credit for her success. It is hard to tell whether this is the end of the story with these two. Only time will tell.

Lauren Conrad vs. Heidi Montag

"The Hills" stars, which started as friends but had a serious fall-out while filming the 2007 season of the show, had the viewers glued to the screen. It all started when Montag's husband spread a rumor that Conrad made an x-rated tape with ex-boyfriend. Conard denied it and ended up leaving the show in 2009. Even though it has been more then a decade, it is still unclear what actually happened.

Hilary Duff vs. Lindsay Lohan

This is one of the first Disney Channel feuds, when everything was still relatively naive and high-school like. And so is the reason for the feud. Have you guessed it yet? Yes, it was over a boy, but not any boy, Aaron Carter. Apperently, Carter used to date Duff between 2001 and 2003, when he left her for Lohan. But this is not the end. Carter ended up going back to Duff. Oh, the Drama!

Katherine Heigl vs. Shonda Rhimes

Heigl, who got the reputation of "hard to work with", probably should have considered her actions better. The drama started when Heigl declined her Emmy nomination for her role on "Gery's Anatomy" in 2008 on the grounds that she didn't feel that the material she was given that season were Emmy worthy. Big mistake! Rhimes ended up firing the actress and didn't stop herself from sharing her thoughts about Heigl with anyone who would listen.

Katy Perry vs. Taylor Swift

And here we encounter Swift again. I guess with the fame, come the feuds, this time a professional one. Swift blamed Perry for stealing performers from her and hence sabotaging her tour. In reponse, in a very Swift fashion, she wrote a song about it, "Bad Blood". It has been speculated later that Perry's song "Swish, Swish" was written in response. Though I hate catty fights like that, at least we got some great music out of it.

Mariah Carey vs. Nicki Minaj

This feud was very hard to miss, especially if you have been watching season 12 of American Idol, where the two joined the judges' table. The two divas found it very hard to hide their dislike of each other. Their arguments, dirty looks, and body language signaled to the audience "We really don't like each other". The "sophisticated" comments continued in interviews, where the two just realized there is no point in hiding it.

Kim Cattrall vs. Sarah Jessica Parker

One of the most heartbreaking feuds had to be between the "Sex and the City" stars. We all wanted to believe so badly that these four women were actually life-long friends. Rumors started to leak druing discussions around a third movie in the successful franchise, where it was said that the reason it won't happen is Cattrall. She took to twitter to clear her name. But that was only the start. She later said in an interview that they were never friends. Things got real personal when she specifically named Parker. Then in 2018, after Cattrall's brother was found dead, she blamed Parker for exploiting the death in order to help her good persona. That was in response to Parker publicly offering her condolences. This whole thing sounds like a very sad and dramatic episode.

Selma Blair vs. Charlie Sheen

Charlie Sheen had to make the list. He argued with so many of his co-stars, it was hard to choose a single one. So be sure that this one is nothing but a representation for the rest. Selma Blair, who worked with Sheen on "Anger Management" (how fitting) was apperently fired after not getting along with the star. It has also been reported that the firing took place in a text message, in a not very classy fashion, including some inappropriate word selection.
