Have you ever taken up and about and went on a trip only to realize you left something important at home? It happens to everyone, do not worry, but we are here to help you with this ever-recurring issue.
Packing can be really bothersome, and whatever goes into your packing really does depend on what will your trip be like. Maybe a mountain hiking trip, or a few days out for fishing, even a vacation to a different country. So here we will remind you of some of the key things you can’t forget at home. We deeply encourage you to make a list on the things you need to take with you. This will make sure you can check them as you pack, and thus make sure you will not leave anything you might need at home.
Chargers for everything
No matter how short your trip might be, if you're carrying a phone, tablet or laptop, be sure to carry its charger wherever you go. Also, pack a power bank for your phone if you can. You never know when will your phone run out of juice, it could be when you need it the most. Chargers are very important and they do not even take up a lot of space and you WILL need them, so please put them on your packing list.
A toiletry bag
When you are packing, it is really important to remember the toiletry bag. A small bag to carry all those products you would normally use in your bathroom (except toilet paper, of course). Things like your toothbrush/toothpaste, hair comb (and pins), your lotions, personal hygiene products, makeup and wipes, even q-tips. Pack everything you might need and/or use in a bathroom.
Health always comes first. This is why you should be organized when it comes to packing anything you might need to take care of your health. Here go things like painkillers, first aid kit, personal prescription, allergy medicines, cold medicines and maybe even multivitamins. In case you do suffer from a chronic ailment such as migraine or back pains, be sure to pack everything you might need to make you feel good again and enjoy your trip.
This may seem obvious but if you're going to travel you must make sure you don't forget your personal ID and your passport. Some hotels require you to present the reservations printed and such, so make sure to also carry that safely. You also have to carry your health insurance documents. You should never travel without insurance, just in case you might have an emergency.
You can get a water resistance folder for these important papers when you travel in order to keep them safe, just in case. These folders also protect them against most damages, not only water damage but also protects them against being accidentally teared up.
While it is important to save as much space as you can, you must remember to always bring some extra clothing. Make sure you don’t forget your underwear or your pajamas.
Sometimes you can get into all kinds of troubles while traveling, and you will always appreciate carrying clean fresh clothes. Also, remember the socks. People tend to forget them when fast-packing. We tend to focus only on the superficial clothes but sometimes we forget the tiny but super important details of socks and underwear.
